The Peel International Trade Centre (Peel ITC) will be based in the North West of England within the port city region of Liverpool and will be the first of its kind in the United Kingdom and the largest and most sustainable in Europe.
This facility will serve as a trading ‘Gateway’ into the UK and the whole of Europe and will benefit from excellent transport connectivity via road, rail, water and air.
The Peel ITC will include showroom spaces, warehousing/storage and assembly facilities, and sell an unlimited variety of types of goods to the wholesale market.
This series of buildings to be built in four phases will provide in excess of 230,000 square metres (2.5 million square feet) in floor space. The Peel ITC will enable up to 1,000 companies from China, India, South Korea and other emerging economies, to exhibit, sell, assemble and distribute their goods into the UK, Irish and European markets.
This international trading hub has been granted planning permission following staggering levels of support from the local community. It will be located within the Wirral Waters project which is directly opposite the port city of Liverpool on the River Mersey, 8 miles north of the entrance to the Manchester Ship Canal. The site has the benefit of a railway line that runs adjacent to the site with a passenger station is just off Junction 1 of the M53 motorway.
