MediaCityUK Appoints UK's Leading Security Company

Peel Media today announced that the UK’s leading security company, G4S Secure Solutions (UK) (G4S) has been awarded the security contract for MediaCityUK after a competitive four way pitch.

G4S, who have been involved in the project since construction began at Salford Quays in 2007, will have around sixty staff contracted to work on the £600million Peel Media development from 2011.

They will be recruiting high-calibre, customer-focused security personnel to work on the 36 acre site, which includes a new home for BBC North, a new campus for the University of Salford, 378 apartments, a new 218-bed hotel, an outdoor piazza twice the size of Trafalgar Square and the most modern new studio facilities in Europe.
