New EventCity video released at EventCity Live!
One of the North West’s leading stage schools has taken up residency in The Greenhouse, MediaCityUK.
Established in 2005, Footlights has more than 500 young people and over 100 adults enrolled and attending their schools across the region. They also offer franchises of the stage schools as well as organising a diverse range of events.
Jo Fisher the managing director of Footlights started her career as an actress, then moved on to become a teacher and in recent years a full-time businesswoman. She has more than quadrupled footlights turnover and has some very bright ideas for the future of the business.
Talking about the new offices in The Greenhouse Jo said: “MediaCityUK is an inspiring place to work, create and develop ideas and opportunities - and this is what we at Footlights hope to achieve. We have excellent relationships with The University of Salford, the BBC and ITV and great connections with The Studios, as well as a history or performances at The Lowry; so the question could be asked why we never moved sooner!”
Stephen Wild, managing director of MediaCityUK said: “It is such a pleasure to welcome Footlights to the Greenhouse. We have such a great range of businesses here and Footlights complement the current mix. They are already well connected with the local community and we hope they build more fruitful relationships.”
