Description: The UK’s largest Resource Recovery Park
Location: Located on the south bank of the Manchester Ship Canal, approximately 9.5 miles to the east of Chester, 33 miles west of Manchester and 18 miles south of Liverpool.
Size: 51 hectares (126 acres) of specialist business space for the environmental technology sector.
Planning Permission Status: Planning permission granted in August 2009.
Current Progress: A partnership with Covanta Energy was announced in June 2010. This will see Covanta Energy develop the 95MW Energy from Waste facility and Peel Environmental and Covanta Energy in a joint venture partnership will develop the remainder of the site.
