About the development
Gloucester Quays is a new waterside shopping and leisure destination in Glocuester's Historic Docks area with surrounding attractions including a waterways museum, antiques centre and nearby Cathedral.
Ideally located close to the M5 motorway, the 60 acre, £400 million Gloucester Quays development will provide over 1.6 million sq. ft. (150,000 sq. m.) of floorspace when complete.
The colourful heritage of the Quays has been preserved and enhanced, blended with contemporary design of new buildings.
Phase one of the development opened by Gok Wan in May 2009 and now has over 50 stores including Gap Outlet, L.K. Bennett, M&S Outlet, Osprey London and Le Crueset.
Currrently there are Nando's and Pizza Express restaurants at Gloucester Quays in addition to the various cafes.
In July 2012, work started on a new leisure and shopping quarter called The Quayside. The new £60 million quarter will include 11 restaurants, a 10-screen, 1,600-seat cinema and new shops. To view a plan incorporating phase two plans, please click here >>
